Care & Maintenance
- Wash the cutting board with lukewarm water and soap, then dry immediately.
- Do not wash it with hot water.
- Do not let water stand on the surface; instead, let it dry on its side so it can dry evenly. This will help prevent the board from warping.
- Do not wash the board in the dishwasher, or soak in water as this can cause the wood to expand/contract.
- Reapply "food safe" cutting board oil, creams, or wax as needed, or every 1-3 months with heavy use.
- Let the oil sit for approximately 1 hour before removing and buff off with a clean cloth.
- The board can then be used once the wax has been absorbed.
- If there is any damage such as nicks, gouges, dents, or excessive knife marks, sand the affected area down and then reapply cutting board oil.
